Total Care Direct offers a range of care services throughout Essex to support the elderly or any individual over 18 years of age who experience learning difficulties, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease or other mental health problems.

Our emphasis is on supporting the client to maintain independence wherever possible by offering a wide range of care services, from personal care and hygiene to help with housekeeping and domestic duties, transportation and escorting. Our service can range from a 30 minute visit to 24 hour live-in, depending upon the needs of the service user.

For additional peace of mind, we offer a 24-hour call out service and our carers have access to a designated on-call family GP, who is also available 24 hours a day to help with escalation if required.

We undertake an initial full risk assessment including a health and safety review after which care plans are created with the individual needs of each service user in mind. The care plans are then developed in partnership with relatives, personal carers or any organisation that is involved with the service user.

Our care services are delivered in partnership with service users, relatives and other organisations that may be involved with the service user, such as local authorities and residential homes. By working as a team with all parties involved, we aim to create a circle of respect and companionship between service users, other care organisations and ourselves.

Our policies and procedures ensure client confidentiality, effective communications and consistency of care, regardless of personal circumstance and in accordance with equal opportunities. We provide all of our service users with a Welcome Pack that gives essential information regarding Total Care Directs’ services and contact information as well as full details of the agreed care plan.
