Once discharged from hospital we understand that many individuals may feel more vulnerable for a short time and are likely to need extra care until they have regained some strength.
Our rehabilitation and convalescence care plans offer 6 week post operative care, following discharge from hospital.
During this period, we can manage the overall wellbeing of the service user and advise on the best care options for uncomfortable symptoms such as pressure sores. We can also help to ensure medication is taken as prescribed, assist with physiotherapy exercises, ensure service users are eating and drinking sufficiently and healthily, and help with other tasks that may be challenging after an operation such as lifting, carrying and walking.
